He previously told People that they tend to focus on five phases during their workouts together, as part of his Five-Factor workouts: A minimum five-minute cardio warm-up, a lower-body sculpting exercise, an upper-body toning exercise, then a core-sculpting exercise, and a five-minute cooldown.

    Pasternak is also big on getting steps in. “The focus really is on steps, making sure you get at least 12,000 steps a day through walking, moving your body,” he shared with Insider. And Megan told E! that, “I exercise really hard twice a week. That’s what I do. I do bursts of cardio with really heavy weights…circuit training.”

    She also shared that her go-to protein bar contains none of the ingredients she avoids: “…(No gluten! No gmo! No canola oil! No xylitol or erythritol! And many many more)… When I’m eating paleo I need snacks that I can bring with me to work or while traveling. Most protein bars contain inflammatory ingredients and so I usually avoid them.”

    Beyond all that, Pasternak mentioned that Megan is a big fan of smoothies. “Megan’s favorite is the red smoothie, which is whatever berries are in season, Chai tea, a scoop of protein powder, and a little bit of almond milk,” he told People.
