Over the past year, Mayim Bialik has made tons of important moves on TV, including landing her Fox primetime show Call Me Kat. Whether or not folks have tuned in yet, some of her followers were recently taken aback when they saw The Big Bang Theory alum in a whole different light.
On July 4th, she reminisced about fun times on the set of the dramedy. In a 30-second Instagram Reel, Mayim’s character, Kat, dances to Salt-N-Pepa’s iconic song “Push It.” But it wasn’t just random moves she was showing off. The clip featured a choreographed dance alongside fellow Call Me Kat actress Kyla Pratt, who portrays Randi.
“Yo, yo, yo, yo, baby-pop! 😸,” Mayim captioned the snippet.

After seeing the Jeopardy! cohost acting so playful and carefree, many Big Bang Theory fans rushed over to the comments section to express how impressed they were by her. “There’s a whole other side to you, Mayim!” one person wrote. “This is AWESOME,” another added. “😂 Ok I really need to start watching this show,” a different fan said.
That said, it gave others major Blossom vibes. As long-time Mayim fans may know, the actress started off her career on the hit ‘90s family sitcom, in which she played the charismatic titular character.
“This is giving me some serious Blossom flashbacks- Whoa 😮,” a follower commented. “Your facial expressions when dancing take me right back to Blossom! The very best! Thank you for entertaining us for decades. You’re seriously the best!” someone else said.
While Mayim may not get many chances to dance outside of the Fox show, her talent is definitely there and it’s appreciated. Luckily, there will probably be more scenes like this one after Call Me Kat was renewed for a season 3, set to premiere on September 29.
