Queen Latifah always keeps her fans coming back for more — both her talent on screen and her impeccable style on the red carpet.
Case in point? Back in March, the 52-year-old actress had people buzzing thanks to the bold yellow look she chose to wear for the 94th Academy Awards in Los Angeles. The star of the hit show The Equalizer was absolutely glowing in a sleeveless floor-length yellow halter dress by Pamella Roland. She completed the look with a slicked-back curly high ponytail, diamond hoop earrings, soft neutral eye makeup and a small white clutch.
Once the singer posted her look of the night on Instagram with the caption, “💛✌🏽#Oscars” fans flocked to the comments to gush over her outfit. And the comments just keep coming to this day!
“Absolutely beautiful that yellow is striking ❤️❤️❤️🔥🔥🔥,” commented one poster, with another writing, “Omg I love this woman! Sometimes more than life 😍 THE QUEEN!”. Others simply let emojis like 🔥 and 👑 sum up their feelings, and many used the opportunity to ask about the newest season of The Equalizer where Queen Latifah stars as the show’s leading lady Robyn McCall, an undercover street vigilante and former CIA operative. “Looking gorgeous. Hope we get a third season of Equalizer. Love the show.”
Lucky for them, they won’t have to wait much longer. The CBS drama will debut season 3 on Sunday, October 2 at 8:30 p.m. ET, according to an official announcement by the network back in May, in addition to confirming a season 4 down the road. Queen Latifah leads a cast with Tory Kittles, Lorraine Toussaint, Layla DeLeon Hayes, Liza Lapira, Jada Pinkett Smith and Adam Goldberg in the American crime drama.
Fans finally got a first look at Season 3 now that the short trailer has dropped. In the 20-second video, we see quick cuts of actions scenes that promise adventure and suspense as a voice-over of Queen Latifah saying “The more you know, the more secrets you’ll have to keep” plays over them.
