Heads up, The Masked Singer fans — the hit Fox competition series is back after not airing a new episode last week! But during the show’s short hiatus, it looks like judge Jenny McCarthy and husband Donnie Wahlberg were busy working on a slightly different role than fans would expect.
In a video shared on Donnie’s Instagram, the Blue Bloods star promoted a local Illinois Volkswagen dealership by pretending to sell a car to his wife of eight years. Wearing casual outfits, the longtime couple hammed it up for the camera as they quickly went from playing a consumer and salesman to making out in the backseat of a red crossover.
“What happens when that cute technician from @frenchmedspastcharles (aka @jennymccarthy) shows up to purchase a car at my new ‘job’ working at @foxvalleyvolkswagen,” he jokingly captioned the clip on October 14.
Donnie wasn’t the only one thrilled by the prospect of selling a car to a pretty woman. Jenny quickly commented on the video with her own review. “Thanks for the great service,” she noted. “Your rear end suspension was my favorite part. 🔥❤️.”
Unsurprisingly, Masked Singer fans couldn’t help but notice the palpable chemistry Jenny and Donnie displayed throughout the video. Many wasted no time sharing their thoughts in the comments section.
“This is soooo not safe for work [because] I just HOLLERED,” one fan wrote on Instagram. “You two need a tv show. Too cute ❤️❤️,” another follower commented. “Oh [Stop]!! I can’t with all this flirty cuteness!!! 😍😂🔥,” a different fan added.
Speaking of new projects, Donnie and Jenny promoting a car dealership isn’t the only thing they have on their plates. The duo recently signed a deal with Lionsgate to produce a series of unscripted TV shows, documentaries and podcasts through their company Work Baby Productions.
So, this fun commercial may just be a preview of the projects they have in store for both Masked Singer and Blue Bloods fans.
