Whether she’s wearing short shorts or a floor-length gown, Carrie Underwood grabs everyone’s attention with her fashion choices.
Ahead of the special CMT GIANTS: Vince Gill airing on Friday night, the American Idol winner stepped out to honor country singer superstar Vince Gill, alongside others, including Chris Stapleton, Sheryl Crow and Maren Morris. For the event, Carrie dazzled in a whimsical yet equally elegant outfit.
Her mint blue dress featured a sweetheart neckline with gold rhinestones sewn onto a sheer overlay tied at the shoulders. To accent the sparkle on the gown, she paired it with pointed stiletto heels, diamond dangling earrings and a simple linked bracelet. To further play into the whim of the design, Carrie styled her long blonde hair into loose waves. For her makeup, the “Before He Cheats” singer wore bronzed eyeshadow with peachy blush and lipstick.
When fans caught wind of Carrie’s latest red carpet attire, many immediately took to social media to share their thoughts. Unsurprisingly, folks didn’t hold back and shouted their praises about how beautiful she looked.
“Princess like @carrieunderwood she always looks stunning,” one fan commented on Instagram. “She looks gorgeous!! Everything about this dress is gorgeous!!,” wrote another follower on Twitter. “@carrieunderwood you look like a fairy 🧚♀️😍,” a different fan tweeted.
While longtime followers may think Carrie appeared regal in this outfit, the singer actually has spoken out about another look that better fits the definition. She donned a blush pink halter-top gown to the 50th annual CMA Awards in November 2016. It was a moment she’s continued to speak about over the years, including what it was like trying it on and wearing it to one of country music’s biggest nights.
“I feel like when I put that dress on, I felt like a princess,” she told Access Hollywood in November 2021. “It was pink and it was poofy and lots of sparkles … I felt good in it.”
There’s no doubt Carrie always brings glamour to a red carpet, and we can’t wait to see what other fashion moments she’s got up her sleeve.
