After two years of non-traditional holiday plans amid the Covid-19 pandemic, the Wales family gathered together again with the rest of the royals at Sandringham Estate to celebrate Christmas. And naturally, Kate Middleton pulled all the fashion stops in an utterly festive ensemble for Christmas Day Services at St Mary Magdalene.
Arriving at the church, the Princess of Wales stunned in a green coatdress. The stylish royal paired her outfit with a matching hat and chocolate brown boots, gloves, and handbag.
For the merry morning, Kate was also joined by her husband, Prince William, and their three children—Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis—for the walk to St Mary Magdalene. The Prince of Wales and the boys opted for classic navy ensembles—with Prince Louis wearing a coat, likely over shorts and high socks and George looking quite grown up in a suit—while their daughter looked pretty in a cranberry coat.
Today’s service marks the royal family’s first Christmas without Queen Elizabeth and the first for King Charles since he ascended the throne. The last time they all attended a Christmas Day church service in Sandringham was in 2019, when Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were still senior royals, and Prince Philipp was still living. Kate and William spent the last two years with their kids at Amner Hall, their country home in Norfolk.
Following the service, the Wales crew and the rest of the Windsors are expected to return to the Sandringham house for a traditional turkey lunch. Then, around 3 p.m., they will all watch Charles’s first televised Christmas message as monarch.
