Is Kelsea Ballerini rekindling an old relationship? According to a recent post on TikTok, she is … but it’s not with who fans expect.
In a clip shared to Kelsea’s TikTok on October 24, the country singer confused her followers by making them think she was potentially reuniting with an old romantic flame. Singing along to Carly Rae Jepsen and Rufus Wainwright’s “The Loneliest Time” in a full face of makeup, she kept everyone watching in suspense before turning the camera to the true subject of the video. The “person” folks thought she was referring to was actually none other than her dog of seven years, Dibs.
“Back with my boy 😊,” she cheekily captioned the TikTok.
As the video comes just two months after Kelsea filed for divorce from her husband Morgan Evans, fans were suspicious over whether the two were getting back together. But once Dibs made his way into the frame, they immediately were excited over the sweet reunion.
“Dibs Content is what we needed to start the week 🥺🥺🥺🥺,” one fan wrote in the comments. “Ahh [you] almost had me there 🥺 but love some Dibs!! 🥰,” another follower remarked. “The only good boy that doesn’t ride away,” a different person added.
Despite Kelsea sharing a light-hearted video amid the split, she’s been spending lots of time pondering on the newest stage in her life. In between performing at the ACM Honors and going out on the road, she’s promoting her new album, Subject to Change. In fact, she reflected on how her previous mistakes will help her when she enters her next relationship in a September interview with Yahoo! Entertainment.
“I just acknowledge that life is so messy and so multifaceted,” she told the outlet. “When it’s good, it’s good, and we should feel that. But when it’s not, it’s not, and we should feel that too … I just feel the more in-depth I can go into those topics that I feel strongly about them, the better.”
