Will this work with a wool sweater? It seems to be such a short time in the dye but I presume the "fix" additive is the "secret" ingredient that makes it work?

Is it possible to spot dye a pair of Jeans? I had paint in my Midnight Blue jeans and I used alcohol, then hairspray, then detergent directly on them (This is the recommended way I found on line). Each process to out a little paint, but also took color out of jeans. Now they have 4 very faded spots on them and I cant wear them can you Help???
