So, ICYMI, the Earthshot Prize Awards (better known as The Reason Prince William and Kate Middleton Visited the U.S.) were Friday night in Boston and, since the whole point of the Earthshot Prize is to honor contributions to environmentalism, the theme of the event was green.
There was a green carpet. Guests were asked to be eco-friendly in their fashion choices and *not* buy new gowns and suits for the occasion. And Kate Middleton embraced the theme in a very literal way by wearing the brightest green (rented, according to People, from HURR, a U.K.-based designer dress rental platform) gown you can imagine. She paired it with an iconic emerald choker from Princess Diana’s collection and the whole look was predictably amazing. Behold/instantly become green with envy (not even sorry):

But, as stunning as Kate looked, many fans were quick to point out how much her off-the-shoulder Solace London gown also looked like, well, a green screen. It’s pretty much the exact same shade as a classic green screen.

And, because this is the internet, a famous person can’t just walk a photographer-filled red carpet in a wearable green screen and expect the Photoshop-having public *not* to have a damn field day with the pictures from said event.

The You’re Definitely, 100% Going to Be Photoshopped-ness of the look is so glaringly obvious that Roxane Gay actually tweeted (the very valid question), “How did their team let this happen?” (Top theories in reply: Either Kate’s team has never been on the internet or they low-key hate her.)

Anyway, clearly, the mere existence of this dress is an invitation for internet creativity, so scroll to enjoy some highlights from Twitter, which joyously RSVP’d yes to that invite:
