The Big Bang Theory fans, Melissa Rauch‘s nightlife just got a bit busier.

Back in January, the actress headed to the courtroom to star in the NBC reboot of the 1980s series Night Court. After four episodes aired and Deadline reported that the show received the best comedy ratings the network has seen in more than five years, news broke that the sitcom received an early green light for season 2. In light of the major announcement, Melissa (who also serves as executive producer) took to Instagram to share a heartfelt message.

“Thank you thank you thank you to each and every one of you who watched our show,” she wrote on February 3. “Beyond grateful about the news of #NightCourt Season 2! Eternally full of gratitude to every single wonderful person who worked on this dream come true and helped make it come to fruition.”

She continued: “Thank you to @nbc and @warnerbrostv for their unbelievable support and faith in this project. To say itโ€™s an honor (pun semi-intended) to continue the legacy of this iconic comedy that is endlessly special to me is a tremendous understatement. ๐Ÿ’™.”

When fans caught wind of Night Court โ€” and subsequently, Melissa โ€” coming back for another season, they immediately flooded the actress’ Instagram with excitement over what’s to come.

‘Night Court’

“Congratulations!!!! I’ve enjoyed every episode! ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป,” one person wrote in the comments. “Iโ€™ve been loving the new dynamic and cast. Youโ€™ve given me some chuckles and out right bust a gut laughs. Well done!” another noted. “Best of luck ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘ truly you are a comedic treasure,” a different user added.

As viewers are aware, Melissa portrays Abby Stone, the daughter of the recently-passed night court judge Harry Stone (Harry Anderson), who takes over her father’s courtroom in the Manhattan Criminal Court. While the plot line of season 2 is still to be announced, John Larroquette‘s character Dan Fielding is expected to return as well.

Congratulations, Melissa and judgement adjourned … for another season.
